BoardSmyth AI

Tell your board what to do. It does it.

BoardSmyth AI is a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Describe your project in plain English and it writes the program, fixes its own compile errors, and uploads it over USB. An AI programmer for Arduino-family boards.

Get BoardSmyth AISee how it works
// You type:
"Blink the LED slowly, and speed up when I press the button on pin 2."

// BoardSmyth AI writes the sketch, installs libraries, compiles,
// fixes any errors, and uploads it to your board.

How it works

  1. Pick your board. Search the full board list, or plug one in.
  2. Describe what you want. No code needed. Follow up with changes like "make it blink slower".
  3. Review the code and wiring notes. Everything is shown in a built-in editor.
  4. Upload. The serial monitor shows what your board reports back.

Built for makers

Self-fixing builds

Compiler errors go back to the AI automatically, up to four attempts per request.

Libraries handled

Needed libraries are found and installed for you, including ones a compile reports missing.

Editor and serial monitor

Edit the code yourself any time and watch your board's output live.

Board-aware

Pin names, memory limits and board options are respected for the board you chose.

Boards supported

Boards from the official Arduino index plus Espressif (ESP32), ESP8266, Raspberry Pi Pico family, STM32, Teensy, bare ATmega/ATtiny chips (MiniCore, MegaCore, MightyCore, MicroCore), Adafruit and SparkFun. The first time you use a board family, its toolchain downloads automatically.

FAQ

Can the AI be wrong?

Yes. Code can compile and still not do what you meant. Check the wiring notes and test carefully. See Safety.

Do I need drivers?

Many clone boards need a USB driver on Windows (CH340 or CP210x). Install it if your board is not detected.

Is it affiliated with Arduino?

No. BoardSmyth AI works with Arduino-compatible boards and is made independently by Code Crafted Nexus LLC.
